Sally Troxel originally planned on being a veterinarian so she attended Indiana University of South Bend for three years. In 1999 she found out about the Veterinary Technician Program at Purdue University and changed directions. She graduated in 2000. Sally wanted to be involved with the nursing side of veterinary medicine. After graduating, she attended a hands-on animal behavior seminar at Purdue. Initially Sally attended because she had the desire to run a puppy kindergarten class, which she did successfully for several months. She has now expanded her area of behavior focus to include not only puppies but older dogs and cats as well. Sally is interested in behavior because she wants to teach owners the best way to train and help their pets.
Sally chose to pursue her career at KVC after doing her externship here during the summer of 2000. She was "really impressed with how everyone got along and how efficiently everything ran. Everyone seems open to suggestions and tries to always improve him or herself. If you come into work wearing a frown it's not there for long. I love that!" |
